Minister with Ukiah Roots to deliver Inaugural Invocation

I just learned today from this Press Democrat Article that Rick Warren is a Ukiah Native and graduated from Ukiah High. I find it quite remarkable that this man has Mendocino County roots and that I have never seen one word written about it in our local paper, The Ukiah Daily Journal. Mendocino County has a very active LGBT community and I know Warren’s local roots is probably not something they are proud of. However, the fact that the man who is going to give the Inaugural Invocation for the first African American President, graduated from Ukiah High School is worth noting and significant for the residents of this area.
